RankToMatch.comTM is a free web application designed by medical residents that uses social networking to deliver real-time data for fourth-year medical students entering the residency Match.
The site delivers statistics on Step 1 scores, research experience, class rank, AOA, etc, for the current applicants to each program in the Match.
How do we get this data? Well, here’s how it works…
What you do:
1. Sign up and create an anonymous profile (less than 2 minutes).
2. Enter the necessary data about yourself (remember, it’s anonymous).
3. Add the programs where you’re applying to your Dashboard and click the “Applied” button (very important).
What we do:
1. The site collects the data from all users and crunches the numbers. Your Dashboard will display the current data for the applicants to each program. As more applicants join and input their data, the Dashboard will update in real time. When interview offers go out, the Dashboard will update as well.
Once you add your programs to your Dashboard and click the Applied button, multiple new options pop up such as our Letter Writer Organizer tool, Interview Tracking, and more! More importantly, your data will be compiled with the data from other users to improve the site for everyone, especially next year's class who will greatly benefit from the data you provide. While we certainly hope the site is useful to you during this Match season, the true value of the site will be for the classes that follow you as the database grows with more users over the years. Therefore, it's very important to update your Dashboard regularly with your program applications and interviews, to help make the site a useful resource for everyone.
